The first day of a new year and my 730th blip. Let us hope that 2013 brings peace to those unfortunate enough to be living in war-torn parts of the world.

What better symbol of peace than the lamb, which has has strong connotations with peace and meekness in many religions and belief systems. This young shepherd and his lamb are from Peru and form part of a Nativity set of figurines.
