Derelict Sunday

Well I never thought that going to a National Garden Scheme open garden at Hole in the wilds of North Devon would I find a wonderful field of dereliction!

I had gone to Bideford to have coffee with my friend Janet, before and excellent lunch at the Hoops Inn. She had invited me to join her in a visit to  the gardens at Hole Farm outside the village of Woolfardisworthy. Now I can see most of you are going to stumble over this name. I did when I first moved up to North Devon. But to make it easier for us incomers, try Woolsery ;-)

The parking area for the visitors was in a couple of fields opposite the garden, and scattered around the field, was allsorts of derelict machinery. But I decided to share this one with you ;-)

The garden was wonderful 3 acres of flowers vegetables, a bog garden , ponds, a rill,. We had a cup of tea afterwards but resisted the wonderful homemade cakes that were there.

Now back home and afterI have posted this, I will continue to finish my packing for the trip up to Birmingham with my fellow blipper friend Suejay50, as she is collecting me early tomorrow morning for a week of blip meets and frivolity ;-)

Have a good week everyone, and catch up with you tomorrow  in Birmingham, England. Got to add that so our blip friends across the pond don't think we are in Alabama ;-)
