Bristol Harbourside

After Kate had collected Sophie this morning we set off to Bristol on the bus for the matinee performance of Calendar Girls at the Hippodrome. It's a somewhat longer journey by bus than car but, as today was the Harbourside Festival, it was preferable to fighting your way through the traffic and trying to find somewhere to park.

We enjoyed a taco from a Harbourside stall, from where this view was taken, before the performance which was a real treat: a great cast, slick production and amusing script.

We'd planned to eat in Bristol after the show but it was so crowded and the restaurants so full we headed back on the bus and picked up fish and chips at our local chippie.
