Show Flowers

I'm really enjoying the antirrhinum I am growing at the allotment.  They surround the little area where I sit and drink my tea during breaks from working.  The patterns on the petals are such a pleasure.  I've not used them as cut flowers before but decided to give it a go.  

We've our village show in three weeks time and with it come fruit, flower, veg and home preserves/baking 'competitions'.  I'm thinking about entering some of my garlic bulbs and shallots, and if they are still in flower, perhaps some of these antirrhinums.  It is all a bit of fun and each year I go, I really enjoy seeing the entries so feel I ought to support it with providing some of my own exhibits.  I'll see how brave I feel nearer the time!
