Bikes Everywhere!

One thing we have noticed about Europe is the overwhelming numbers of bicycles. Everyone travels by bike. The low sun and strong shadows this evening emphasised the bike shapes.

Today we are in the beautiful city of Deventer in Holland. The architecture is amazing and well worth a stop.  John has a long standing friend here, so we met for coffee this morning and then a meal in a restaurant this evening. Great to meet Marie-Louise at last.

Pepper has spent most of the day asleep but has picked up a bit this evening. Her foot is clearly very sore but she has managed a few short walks. We have a check with the vet in the morning to change her dressing and will then start the journey to Calais planning a final night's stop within a short distance of the port.
