Everyone likes jumping in muddy puddles!

As the sun was shining, we donned our wellies and took a long walk around the village. The river level has risen a lot since the weekend and the bridge is shut once again. This is the 4th time so far this winter, the first time was way back in September. Should make getting Ben to York station for 7am tomorrow a little more exciting!

This morning though, it had not yet burst the banks on the village side, although Cllr Jones shouted at us (in his capacity as flood warden) to get off the bank by the church as it had breached further along. I'm don't think he'd realised how far along we were not planning to go...

The exercise exhausted us all so the afternoon has been spent mostly watching films/reading/snoozing!
