Bum Scratch/Head Rub

My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess Normal,

Jasper is big on the "floor cuddle". This is despite the fact that I am typically on the couch. He will plod into the living room, plop himself down on the rug and let me know how he is feeling.

JASPER: FLOOR CUDDLE!
ME: Look, I've just sat down...
JASPER: FLOOR CUDDLE!
ME: I've got a cup of tea here...
JASPER: FLOOR CUDDLE!
ME: Can't you just jump up here next to me? There's plenty of room.
JASPER: FLOOR CUUUUUH-DULLLLLL!!!

I inevitably give in. 

When I get down there he wants the joint bum scratch/head rub combo. I do not literally scratch his bum. It's that spot on his back, just above the base of his tail. I scratch there and rub the spot on the top of his head between his ears and he siiiiiiiiiings with happiness.

For five minutes. Then he effs off. And I get back on the couch. And another five minutes later he is back and the whole cycle starts again. I spend a lot of my life getting onto the floor and then back up again.

What you see here is a rare picture of Jasper, having listened to me for once, next to me on the couch. Look at that face. Is it any wonder I am his slave?
