They're 2, they're 4, they're 6, they're 8

Yes it is new years eve but it is also the birthday of one of our little friends who was celebrating his second one.

It was a great little party that was lots of fun. It was nice to see our two (who had generally been a nightmare all day) have fun and charge about with their friends whilst us adults got to catch up and laugh. The best new year in ages.

We managed to get home later than usual due to having fun, but still in time to get to bed and sleeping before the annoying midnight fireworks of people celebrating woke us all up as usual this time of year.
