Leon with Saul's sticks

With my Saul Goodman snare drum sticks.

Saul, my teacher in NY from 1975 -1980, was a fabulous character. A man full of passion for music and for his teaching. He would show me his stick techniques from Beethoven or Stravinsky with the butt of a cigar between his teeth. :D

He played timpani in the New York Philharmonic for more than 50 years!
