Something Not Yellow

Dear Diary,

One of the stems of the Mallow fell over and came to rest on a little sedum in my garden, an inadvertent pairing that I really liked.  Soft, cool colors on another hot day.  I just couldn't do anymore yellow or orange.  Relief, they've promised, is on the way today.  In fact, it is supposed to be 15 degrees cooler today with rain on the way this afternoon and through the night.  HOORAY!  I can already feel it this morning.  It is 68 F instead of 75 F.  Rosie and company will be happy too.  I've barely seen them the last three days.  They were staying nice and cool in their underground burrows, smart.
