Tour of Pleasures

Oh, what a day this was!

We celebrated my sister in law's and HD's birthdays by spending a day in New Orleans. A great brunch, walk around the City Park, stroll through the Sculpture Garden, at the end, dinner with their parents. So much fun, so much walking, even a streetcar ride rolled into it all, especially for LM.

I took many nice pictures, but this is my favorite. Not the picture, but the subject. I can't tell you who is the sculptor, I don't remember, the title escapes me also. But when I saw this piece, I had a moment of instant recognition. The mother with her son, her posture calm and proud. I know how she feels. What a treat.
