A DAMSEL IN THE SUN

The sun has bleached out most of her brilliant turquoise. It's 28°C this afternoon - they're expecting 38°C on Thursday...

Thinks... "is there a masculine equivalent of a damsel?"

So "damsel" is an Anglicisation of the French "demoiselle" - "damsel" is by far the better word!

OK - I'm twiddling my thumbs after spring-cleaning the apartment & ironing all my crumply shirts. The vacuum cleaner is full of spiders - I know Cabbagetree  loves these people, but after a while my white walls get covered with their sticky graffiti & I get apoplectic, or should that be apocalyptic?
