Today I finished my walk with a relatively low-level trek from Shenavall bothy, over to the main road near Dundonell. I considered hitching from there to Braemore Junction to get a bus to Ullapool, but it didn't seem right to finish on a somewhat arbitrary bit of main road. So, I walked 10km over to Loch Broom, only to find that the nearest bus stop was Braemore Junction, 9km along the A835 in the opposite direction! So, with hopes of hitching soon dashed due to the speed of the traffic, I walked the 11km along the A835 to Ullapoo,l where I revived myself with a shower, a fish supper and two pints of beer. I finished just in time to welcome A and F as they walked their bikes off the ferry from Stornaway.
