River Lune

Driving to the Old Hill Inn in Chapel-le-Dale near Ingleton for New Year celebrations, we were stopped in our tracks by this stunning sunset. The Lune has escaped its banks and spilled over the old railway line which you can see in the centre, creating a lake on this side. Looking further into the image you can see the trees normally on the far bank of the river are currently in the middle of the Lune with water beyond. A lovely scene as long as you don't farm in this area : )
