The Paterson clock Bridge of Allan

A mono photo for today’s challenge of a street scene should have been easy. Except I left it too late in the day, and the streets in Bridge of Allan were virtually empty.

The best I could muster was this one of the Paterson clock that I first blipped in 2011 (yes I could not believe the date either).

The clock is a memorial to a well-loved local man, Dr Alexander Paterson, who is believed to have inspired Robert Louis Stevenson, author of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
The clock stands on a public drinking water fountain,
except that it hasn't worked for year, so we all have to carry plastic bottles now. How cool is that.
