Riverbank

Was at the medical practice this morning for an annual check up.

The Braidburn runs past it and today the river plants were in bloom and there were poppies and other summer flowers on the embankment.

I remember a few years ago on the Dordogne taking photos of the flowering plants on the river and blipping them. There the scale was huge. But good to see the local display too.

Then in to the office where we had a presentation on the emerging new digital systems to support our volunteers. Gradually the various specific modules are being knitted (not a digital term I know) together in the test environment. They will continue to be developed and tested with users so that when roll out happens next year it should all work!

The scale of operation in the grand scheme of things for us is small compared to the great IT projects we hear about ( not all of which fail). But that does not make it any less complex or demanding.
