Our day has come
Yesterday hardly any. Then suddenly they all decide together that their time has come.
These are Red Soldier Beetles, although which of the 40 varieties I could not say. They are very common and found from Land’s End to John O’groats.
Amusingly their English popular name is Hogweed Bonking Beetle.
They are certainly very keen to perpetuate their own kind.
