Follow that dog!

Time to mooove the heifers to the new pasture. Usually it has taken an hour or two, depending on the stubbornness of the most stubborn heifers. This time it took about three minutes, not counting setting up fences across the road and moving the shed and the mineral trough. That took a lot more time.

The secret to success was using my brother's dog as a bait. The heifers followed him across the road with minor additional guidance. We were prepared for worse though, as there were nine of us in addition to the canine hero of the day.
