Phew

what a scorcher !
We met up at Tynemouth Metro and walked to the pier 
Then walked along the banks of the Tyne.

The car ferry was just coming into the river then as  it came closer we saw the tugboats guiding her in.
We went to the ferry landing and through the new road which used to be the shipyards.That was a first for me.

The others forged ahead I had sore feet and the back marker was with a lady who was slower than me.
I was walking with someone and we lost sight of the others

My new boots were killing me at this point so I had to change into trainers.
The back marker took a short cut so he was nowhere to be seen  and we were lost.
I did have an idea where we were heading so we finally got there.
The Wooden Dolly is a ships figurehead but not the original.
It's outside a Pub on the riverside Mr Riversider;););)
