As for everything politically; enough said, as it is the opposite of this.

This small village, with a fabulous church and pub, dates back to the Norman conquests and, perhaps, even before - when linked to Hexham Abbey. We are now facing a new 'Populist' conquest. Difficult struggles lay ahead. We just hope that it will be a short period of time when viewed in historical terms. History will not be kind to these people and some of us are already writing it.
