Birkett Bagging

Having completed the Wainwrights a couple of years ago, we thought we needed a new challenge. Bill Birkett wrote many Lake District walk books, and there are over 500 fells known as Birketts. Many tie up with Wainwrights, but by numbers, there are many stand-alone Birketts,.checking them, we have done over 250 of them, so we still have a few to go. Today we climbed Place ?Fell, and then added Birketts The Knight and  Birk Fell, all by Ullswater.
