Best made plans!

I think yesterday's Blip was a little misleading due to me not really looking which part of the map was showing. In fact we had planned a trip to the Forest of Bowland with a stop off at Dunsop Bridge (see extra) and lunch in Kirkby Lonsdale. Unfortunately there was quite a tail back at KL so we decided to park close by and walk the last bit but all the parking spaces were gone - jolly busy. So a quick change of plan saw us at Ingleton Falls. A beautiful 4.5 mile walk, although in the heat it was a bit of a challenge at time (note to self - to have falls you have to have high ground!). We had an icecream break 2/3 round and it was the best icecream I have ever tasted. Nearby a group of boys were becoming increasingly acrobatic with their jumping into the pools (see extra). The light was lovely on the water with little rainbows through the spray at times. On the way home we intended to stop off at a pub at Slaidburn - but you guessed - it's closed on Tuesdays, still a good excuse to go again soon.
