Boating on the Thames

Today we went for a walk along the river from Putney to Chiswick. It's a lovely walk and made more so by a stop for lunch at the Dove, birthplace of Rule Britannia, no less. The London Corinthian Sailing Club were out in force, and with the sun waning their sails were cutting through the low light. Chiswick House is one of the first Palladian villas. Lovely to see.
