Lightning strike

Just after midnight, our sky looked like the Special FX team on War of the Worlds were at work. Continuous sheet lightning illuminated the clouds as the distant storm grew closer. I set up the camera and snapped away in the hope of capturing a fork of lightning. Success. The rain followed at about 1:20 and our window became too wet to see through. That was the end of the shoot and time for sleep.
