New Year 2013

Happy New Year, everybody!

Daughter No 1 and I spent Hogmanay in congenial company, a crowd of 19 folk ranging in age from 83 to 4, starting with a splendid 3-course meal and ending with a glass of champagne at midnight to toast the New Year.

This blip shows Pookie looking innocent in her second-favourite position - the middle of the crossword - and K having returned from a New Year's Day run along part of the West Highland Way.

Today has been another lovely relaxed day spent with old friends who visited for the traditional steak pie lunch, followed by a game of the new version of Trivial Pursuit.

Although it has been quite sunny, I haven't ventured further than the wood-shed today, so a good walk is definitely on the cards for tomorrow...
