Check ma-ate

We spent the day hanging out at the Ginger factory at the Sunshine Coast before heading back to Brisbane today.

A quirky little tourist spot, it had a train ride and a boat ride (that riffs on Disney's it's a small world after all ride), and a small rainforest walk.

We stumbled on this giant checkerboard along the walk, and the kids had a brief introduction on how to play checkers (probably not quite correctly since it's been a long time since I played!)

We then stopped in to visit AJ and the family one last time so we could say goodbye to Aunty Chelle (and the chooks)
