Sauna

This morning we commuted by bus, to Boscombe and back, for a food shop. Only a 5mn trip for us. Those already on the bus, mainly looked uncomfortably hot.

It was Ok in Boscombe, with a nice breeze. Probably much more pleasant than if we’d gone into town. Sainsbury had emptied, and was restocking, all the cold cabinets. They suffered a power cut last night as a result of the thunderstorm.

I was up for an hour at midnight watching the dramatic lightning light up up the skies. Only then to be woken by one of my alarm clocks at 06:00 hrs. I must have inadvertently set it after yesterday’s electrician turned the power back on. I tried turning the alarm off, instead the snooze went off and woke me again. Finally worked out to silence it.

Checked my Sleep Watch app. Slept 5h10mn in total. And that’s how I feel now. I think I’ll watch Countdown and with luck doze off (while Mr B’s at tennis).

One more day of hot weather .... tomorrow’s promising a record 39C .... in London and the South East. Max 32C down here.
