Nipped in the Bud?

We were promised thunder, lightening and torrents of rain - and that's what we got last night. So I was out at 8 am for yet another shot of dripping roses on the front of the house.  I've lost count of how many I've blipped this 'summer'.

This one has flowered abundantly, in spite of the deluges and a terrible dose of black spot. I wonder how much longer it can keep going. 

It was too wet to do much outside  so I progressed the sewing, and caught up with emails.  Cabin fever is setting in  - so tomorrow we're going on a garden visit, rain or no rain.
