Permanent marker?

Apparently not! I assumed the (belated) happy birthday on my desert plate was permanent and of course had to test that theory. I can confirm that it was not and had been done by hand by the good people at the Hand and Flowers in Marlow who had been told the dinner was a birthday celebration. Oops! Luckily Di was sensible enough to take a picture before my act of vandalism, she knows me so well.

Dinner by the way was lovely.
