horns of wilmington's cow

A burst of colour

WFH Wednesday... There's a new bookshop opened in Porty, so it seemed remiss not to visit at lunchtime, and even more remiss not to buy something once there. So I've come back with a wonderful set of Hokusai's Manga (from the 1800s, this isn't manga as we know it now, but was the original teaching manual for artists that became a success in its own right, and this set has over 900 illustrations!), and a book by Simon Barnes about birds.

Ice cream, and a seat in the park on the way back, and the company of a little Feral Pigeon for some of it. Bold wee chap he is, second time I've sat there and had his company. The sun popped out from behind a cloud (thankfully briefly given it was already hot) and lit him up beautifully.

Back to the office tomorrow - it'll allegedly be 30 degrees for the ride home...
