Brand New Day, Brand New Year

What a fantastic start to the year! Couldn't have asked for better with plenty of sunshine and no rain forecast at all.

Hope it continues to tomorrow as we are up in London for the day, but today, we headed off back to Trowbridge for G to pick up some vital meds. First stop was this Church along the A248 which Googlemaps calls Sherbourne. It looks fabulous in the winter time when you can see it from the road.

Tried to take more pictures as we journeyed but it got a bit much in a moving car and for the most of it, I was driving! I REALLY loved the scenery too and am continually fascinated by place names here e.g. Halfway on the A4. Hmmm... Imagine saying, "I come from Halfway."

Had a delicious lunch at Pizza Express in Marlborough before continuing journey back to get home before it got dark.

It's been a good day, great start to a new year; heard bad news that Gs mum had a fall last night but she is OK and soldiers on, and G has just handed me a 1917 copy of the Book of Common Prayer which I shall browse once I've caught up with my blip-buddies!
