Home sweet home...

A cliche it may be, but it's the first time in a long time we've actually spent Christmas day without travelling and within our own four walls.

On top, it was the first Christmas day we have spent in the cottage. After much deliberation, the turkey went in the simmering oven last night just before midnight and was ready around midday today so rested (and stayed hot - Mary Berry how could I have doubted you?).

Christmas night - my folks and little bro having left it was upstairs to the lounge and chill time over Corrie. Perfect end to a lovely day...
