Clutching at straws

For today's optional Abstract Thursday theme of repetition, these straws are languishing in my party cabinet and unfortunately they'll have to stay there forever or be burned ! Remnants of a plastic civilisation !

It is rather hot, the thermometer outside in the shade is creeping towards 38 C. We have no fans and no air co !  Not melted yet.
