On my walk this morning I managed to capture one of the gorgeous Small Blue butterflies which are all over the place here. They are tiny [ about 1" across] and flit everywhere so quickly that it can be really hard to keep up with them. This one obligingly decided to settle long enough for me to creep up on it :) I also got a second chance at getting a close up of these wonderfully fashion conscious beetles !! [ extra]

We went out for a wonderful 5 course lunch today - garlic mash to die for with roast beef was just part of it. It's been very hot and the temperature is set to soar from tomorrow.
