The poor stranded jellyfish must have been hoping that the tide would soon rise and protect it from the hot sun. The temperature was bearable on Ravensheugh beach due to a strong onshore wind and apart from S walking along the shoreline I saw only two children paddling in the sea.  At home the temperature outside was much higher so it was more comfortable staying inside for the rest of the afternoon. Even the shower of rain in the evening did not lower the temperature much as it is still 21c outside at 11.45 pm.
