Summer in the mountains

Too hot to walk for any distance today. We only made it to the local snow cannon reservoir. Who needs a swimming pool when we have a local 75m freshwater pool that we only have to share with about 6 million tadpoles, water beetles and newts. Plus the occasional marauding dragonfly that has to check out the novelty.

The water was warm, but very stratified. Putting your feet down in the middle was definitely ill advised.
