The balmy north ...

I had a meeting at Queen Margaret University today. 31 degrees on my car thermometer was the highest I have ever seen in Scotland! The Italian students on holiday language courses there were getting an unusual insight into Scottish weather. They were also “improving” their Italian too!!

We hosted a lovely dinner here in the evening for old friends.

The mass brawl on Portobello beach earlier was inevitable but caught the Police completely off guard.
