Old memories, new beginnings

At 6am on 1 January 2006 my mum died. This day now has an energy of its own just because of that fact but it's not sadness, more a gratitude of what we had. I lit a candle and put a little posy next to this photo of her - at the centre of our family.

Today the former love of my life had a baby. His wife brought her into the world just after midnight. I shed a small tear. Life takes you in directions you just don't think you're going to go down. I'm glad he's happy and got the family I know he wanted so much.

I watched a film tonight and a quote resonated with me 'I've had my adventure, now go and find yours'.

I'm ready for my own new adventures. Welcome 2013!
