Creating the Next Generation...

Today's butterfly offering is a mating pair of marbled whites. The yellowish coloured one is the female. Another male was trying his best to separate them (extra) but had not succeeded when I left. The scene is much less delicate than yesterday's butterfly!

I found these on the way back from a new swimming area that has recently been created at Frience (second extra). It was fantastic to be the only person swimming there as the sun rose this morning. Then the house martins started skimming over the surface to catch insects. With the cow bells in the background, it was idyllic ..... until the workmen arrived to continue building the future café!
