Every picture tells a story
After Cardio Dance Class at the Peak this morning spent afternoon in allotments. Area where early potatoes were lifted on Tuesday was turned over and manually rotovated and Kale plants were transplanted into the freshly prepared soil. It was not the ground preparation that was the cause of this blister in the centre of my palm but the excavation of 40 six inch deep holes for Kale plants. I had forgotten to bring my lovely wooden handled stainless steel trowel with me and all that was available was a Plastic “toy” trowel. At first I thought it was just the job but by the time hole 20 was excavated I had lost a layer of skin and completing the job was a battle against the pain. It will all be worth it when I start to harvest for my Kale smoothies in a couple of months
