Blue Agapanthus, Lily Of The Nile.

Used as an aphrodisiac  in some African traditions and can also be a fertility charm. Often  carried by pregnant women to protect and ensure the health of the growing baby. The leaves contain a caustic sap and the roots are toxic to people and animals. The plant has many medicinal purposes but should only be used under supervision. I think it's best to leave this lovely plant in the garden and enjoy it's beauty.
