FlowerFriday26_2019 Silk flowers and a violet

Last night my washing was caught in the brief but very heavy rainstorm and so I left it out to dry...only to find that this morning several equally heavy rainstorms meant that bringing in and drying was not going to happen.  The rainstorms did not bring relief to our extraordinarily warm temperatures though,  and the day continued sticky and hot.
This afternoon I took Violet to see her friend S and her mummy, for the first time in their lovely new home.  We had a splendid afternoon catching up over a delicious lunch and the girls played together beautifully.  There was a special surprise for Violet  in the shape of this gorgeous hand crafted head band, part (belated) of her birthday present from her friend.  S's mummy is Polish and had this specially made and sent over from Poland.   I did take shots of roses in the house but feel that the headband plus my own alternative flower is quite enough floral input for today's challenge!
