Bird_leaf_beach

Windy at the beach means that things occasionally fly by - like this leaf.  It was having a great tumble down the beach.  Do like that its shadow didn't get too far ahead of it  . . . . .

This bird was by itself, using that long beak to scoop at the sand as the wave retreated.   Sandpiper?   Tattler?   Does anyone know it?
