A very long, fine day

Bella woke at 6 a.m. and is still going strong as I write this at 10:30 p.m. Evan was about an hour behind her in waking up, and he just slipped away after two bedtime stories. No naps, no down time. A party today and another tomorrow. Two playgrounds today, slime-making, games, imaginary worlds, a scavenger hunt. I'm a bit frayed at the edges but deeply grateful to be part of their lives.

Thank you for the celebratory greetings. I bow in thanks. I'm going to play cards with Bella now, and then perchance to sleep.
