A bit of a frantic morning at work because yesterday’s heat had caused our fridges to pack up, along with all the other major food retailers in town! So it was a mad quick attempt to fill up the now fixed fridges before 8.30.
Then back to lingerie and it was final markdown so the usual non standard customers arrived who fill up trolleys with any size to re sell,
Then off to see Jeanie, who was eating jelly when I got there, resulting in both of us being really sticky. She was verging on sadness all afternoon but only cried once. After the jelly that mainly went in, tea and cake were both chewed for a long time before spitting out again.
Although it was cooler today I still felt hot and sticky by the time I got back home.
I made Jamie Oliver’s corn on the cobs done with a spicy yoghurt coating, then rolled in toasted bread crumbs and grated cheese which went down well.
