An interesting afternoon workshop using images from Victorian and Edwardian greetings cards.
The Laura Seddon collection of over 32,000 cards is held by Manchester Metropolitan University.
The object of the workshop was to raise public awareness about the collection, and our creations and responses will form part of the process, acknowledging its historic importance... plus it was fun!
I think my creations were more in the ‘traditional’ image of Victorian greetings cards but a couple of the participants allowed their imagination to run riot.
