National Trust Day
As it was wet when we awoke we changed our plans an decided to go to view NT properties rather than go to Bliss Hill. So, we went to Baddesley Clinton first and had a lovely stroll around the house, followed by coffee and scones and then we walked the garden in the light rain. This is.the entrance to Baddesley House.
As Packwood House was so close we drove there and wandered around their magnificent gardens.
Did not go into this house - leave that for another day - but the gardens were fantastic. A lot of the flowers were showing signs of being beaten down by the rain, but the borders were amazingly colourful and their dahlia bed was astounding. Loved it.
En route home we stopped off to enjoy the canal, watching some of the boats going through the junction of the Grand Union and Stratford Canals.
Tonight we are off to dine with Hildasrose and Rob.... It is all fun fun fun!
