Buffalo
Day 19: Namibia
Our two families split this morning, with four of us going on a game drive and the other three heading off for a walk. It was a 6.30 start for the game drive, which lasted 4.5 hours. Stunning scenery as we drove up on to the Waterberg Plateau, which is famous for both black and white rhinos, Buffalo and two types of very endangered antelopes (Sable and Roan). It was very thick bush and so it was very difficult to see anything but we did see a herd of buffalo at a watering hole (the last of the big five of Namibia. Box ticked!) and a Sable antelope. On the way back we saw a Roan antelope but sadly no rhino. Our incredible luck this trip had finally run out.
We drove on the outside Windhoek to spend our last night here in a campsite before heading to the airport tomorrow.
