Today was a good day
After yesterday's defeatist attitude I knew I had to get a grip otherwise my holiday was going to be a complete waste. Mr thisistheone spent the morning going up and down the green slopes at the Altiport (pictured) with me and helped bolster my confidence. We met up with the others for lunch and decided to venture over to the "Ronnies" at the Rond Point, however, in order to get there it meant skiing down a green (Rhodos) which joined onto the tail end of a blue (Marmotte) and a red (Cerf) run. The steepness terrified me and I had jelly legs again, and because I couldn't bring myself to turn and aim down the hill, I ended up shuffling along the blue, over to the red, in an upward direction!! You can imagine my happy disposition at this point and the abuse that Mr thisistheone was getting (once again), until I'd managed to side slide down the slope a bit, turn myself DOWN the hill and ski in the right direction. Once I'd reached Ronnies I actually felt like I could do it all over again. And I would've...honest. If the allure of burgers and alcohol hadn't had me in it's grasp =0)
