Island Life
For our crazy neighbors across the bay anyway. This morning he brought over a 400+ lb wood splitter with his helicopter. He and his college age son, who was doing the flying. They touched down at the end of the bay on the beach,, shortened the cable, and our neighbor Jeff got out to walk up to the landing pad (10 min maybe) while son flew right over our wharf for this photo. the best part is landing, (extra) setting the cargo down next to the pad, and then landing on the pad, nestled in the woods at the edge of the island. I think it’s amazing. He did cut a couple more branches off a tree in anticipation of this maneuver. (the rest of us would have to barge a wood splitter over to the island and wheel it to someplace where it could be used (very unlikely the wood would be in a convenient place) I will put just a few on flickr if you’re interested…. At 3PM they reversed this activity and I have a phone video of picking it up to return. All safe.
Quiet day here…..getting prepared for those grandsons, parents and cousins tomorrow….
